Frequently asked questions.
Where is the studio?
We are located in the heart of South Orange, NJ at111 South Orange Ave on the second floor in Suite 28. There is ample metered parking in the area and we are 2 blocks from the South Orange NJ Transit station. All the information on how to get to the shop can be found on our About page.
It’s my first tattoo, is there anything I need to do before I come to the studio for my appointment?
We always recommend eating before coming in for an appointment, as well as being well rested. It is also a good idea to dress comfortably. If you are getting tattooed on your legs, or a part of your body that is normally covered by clothing, it is a good idea to wear clothing that allows for access to that body area. You can also bring a change of clothes with you and change once you are at the studio.
Will I see my drawing before my appointment?
With the way our schedules work, we typically don’t get to draw for our appointments until the day before so you will not see your drawing until you are at the studio for your appointment, but we always book enough time that if there are any changes you need made to the drawing we will have plenty of time to do that before the tattooing starts.
Can I bring a friend with me to my appointment?
Yes, we want you to feel comfortable and if having a companion with you will help then we are all for it, just keep in mind that our studio is small, which could mean your friend may have to wait in the front room depending on how many people are in the studio. We ask you don’t bring more than one person with you.
How do I heal my tattoo?
Aftercare instructions can be found in the aftercare section of our site, click here for saniderm aftercare instructions, and here for traditional bandage aftercare instructions.
Can I book an event at your studio?
Yes! We would love to host an event for you at our space. Birthday parties, special events, or even weddings (Sweety is an ordained Minister), the possibilities are endless! See our Events page for all the details!
